  • There is a 24-application maximum per endorsing institution. The total number of applications that an institution can endorse will be limited to 24, although there is no limit on the number of applications that can be sent to a single Region.

Marshall scholarship essays

Nearly 20 questions make up the Marshall scholarship application, and four of them need lengthy essays. All essays must be typed in no less than 10-point font size, follow strictly the prescribed page restrictions, and be uploaded electronically through a process called FastLane. Candidates must carefully consider the nature of the essay questions that require full narrative responses and construct their answers so that they complement one another rather than create unnecessary redundancy.

In this regard, it is helpful to construct your responses in accordance with these questions by thinking about them in terms of just one or two words (such as personal motivation, scientific commitment, prior research, or proposed study). Consider extrapolating from the questions’ elaborate language to come up with suggestions for instances while keeping the question’s main context in mind and adhering to it.
