Good morning everyone. My name is Oviguere Moses Efemena and I’m running for Health Prefect. I believe I have the skills, passion, and experience to excel in this important leadership role and make a positive difference at our school.

Health and well-being are so important, especially for students like us who are going through such a crucial time of growth and development. As Health Prefect, my main goal will be promoting healthy habits and an environment where every student feels happy, supported, and able to thrive.

I’m committed to increasing awareness around physical health through campaigns about nutrition, exercise, sleep, and more. I’ll work closely with the cafeteria staff to provide more nutritious meals and snacks. I’ll also organize fun fitness challenges, sports tournaments, and other activities to get everyone moving. Staying active is vital for our physical and mental well-being.

In addition to physical health, I want to focus on mindfulness and mental health. The pressures and stress students face today are immense. As Health Prefect, I will arrange stress management workshops, gratefulness exercises, counseling services, and rest zones where students can recharge. Fostering resilience and coping skills is so important.

I also aim to make health education more robust. I will advocate for a comprehensive curriculum that covers topics like healthy relationships, digital well-being, body image, puberty, hygiene, sexual health, drugs, and alcohol awareness. Knowledge is power when it comes to living a healthy, balanced life.

Furthermore, I will strengthen our community by promoting inclusiveness, respect, and positive social connection. We all do better when we support each other. I want to create a nurturing environment where no student feels alone or excluded.

In everything I do as Health Prefect, my approach will be positive, proactive, collaborative, and educational – not preachy or judgmental. Health is complex and personal; it’s about empowering students with knowledge and creating an enabling environment.

I’m already involved in peer counseling, wellness campaigns, and the student health committee. I have the skills for this position. But most importantly, I have the passion. Student health and well-being will always be my top priority. I would be honored to serve you all as Health Prefect next year. Thank you.
