To get the chick fil a scholarship, recipients will be selected on the basis of:
- Academics
A review of the applicant’s grade/mark average calculated using the local grading scheme and a review of the outcomes of academic examinations are included in the academic evaluation.

- Community service/volunteering

True Inspiration™ Scholarship
The amount for the true inspiration™ Scholarship is $25,000
In order to be eligible for this award, you must:
- At the time of application, you should hold a position at a franchised, company-owned, or related restaurant, such as Dwarf House Group, LLC’s Truett’s Chick-fil-A, Truett’s Luau, Chick-fil-A of Edgewater, or Truett’s Grill.
- Be a Team Member when the Operator, Interim Manager, or Executive General Manager, as appropriate, presents the award.
- Be enrolled in postsecondary undergraduate or graduate studies or have plans to do so for the 2022–2023 academic year at an approved two- or four-year college, university, or vocational-technical institution.
- Be suggested based on the team member’s accomplishments professionally by an Operator, Interim Manager, or Executive General Manager (depending on the restaurant where the team member works).
- In the twelve (12) months before applying, describe how you showed care and service. You will be asked to discuss how, both inside and outside of the restaurant, how you were able to have an impact on your neighborhood, neighbors, and family during the past 12 months.
- Have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale (or the equivalent) for candidates from the United States. Academic accolades and recognition will be taken into consideration (for Canadian and Puerto Rican candidates, transcripts are checked individually and assessed accordingly). Candidates must attach a transcript with their name, school name, courses taken, and GPA on it.
- Establish your need for money.
Leadership Scholarship
The amount for the Leadership scholarship is $1,000 or $2,500
In order to be eligible for this award, you must:

Applying to be a Chick-fil-A Community Scholar requires that you:
- Live in Canada, Puerto Rico, or the United States.
- Be enrolled in postsecondary undergraduate or graduate study or have plans to do so for the 2023–2024 academic year at a two- or four-year accredited institution, university, or vocational-technical school.
- Be given a recommendation citing the applicant’s accomplishments on the personal and/or professional front from a teacher, coach, community leader, or mentor. Three letters of endorsement must be submitted.
- Demonstrate your concern by performing volunteer work in the twelve (12) months before applying. We are aware that COVID-19 may have affected your ability to volunteer and provide care for others. You will be asked to discuss how you were able to have an impact on your neighborhood, neighbors, and family throughout the previous year.
- Own a cumulative GPA (grade point average) of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale (or the equivalent). Academic honors and recognition will be taken into account. Candidates must attach a transcript with their name, school name, courses taken, and GPA on it.
- Demonstrate financial need.
- At the time of application, you cannot be working for Chick-fil-A® restaurants, Chick-fil-A, Inc., or be a dependant or spouse of someone who works for Chick-fil-A, Inc. a worker or an operator.
Chick fil a scholarship requirements
As part of your application, you must upload the following requirements:
- A complete and current transcript of grades. Not acceptable are grade reports.
- Transcripts are required to include the student’s name, school name, grades, and credit hours for each course taken during each term.
- You must upload an authentic copy of your SAT or ACT test results separately if you are supplying scores that are not included on your high school transcript. These grades are not necessary if you are uploading your college transcript.
- The first two pages of your parents’ or your own IRS 1040 income tax form (if you are not reported as a dependant).
- It is possible to submit up to three letters of recommendation. Please include your most recent Operator as one of your recommenders if you have previously been a member of the team.
If not all essential materials are submitted online, your application is not complete.

- To assist Team Members in forging “Remarkable Futures”
The Remarkable Futures project offers three distinct options for student Team Members to pay for college: a $2,500 scholarship, a $25,000 scholarship, and tuition breaks.
- In 2018, more than 5,700 Team Members will receive $2,500 in scholarships.
This indicates that around 70% of Team Members who apply are awarded a scholarship.
- Community service
More than 70,000 hours of volunteer work were completed by scholarship recipients in 2018. The 13 beneficiaries of $25,000 scholarships gave an average of 450 hours of their time to charity.
- Each year, you may submit a new application.
More than 5,700 Team Members will be awarded $2,500 Chick-fil-A Leadership Scholarships in 2018. Team members can earn up to a total of $10,000 and can reapply for the $2,500 scholarship each year. (One person may receive the $25,000 True Inspiration Scholarship only once.)
- Chick-fil-A can still help you save money on a college education even if you aren’t awarded a scholarship.
Through a collaboration between Chick-fil-A and Scholarship America, employees of 100 schools and universities nationwide can receive tuition discounts of up to 30%. The Chick-fil-A scholarships can be used in conjunction with the tuition breaks.
- You can study wherever and anything you choose.
A field of study is not necessary to be eligible for a Chick-fil-A scholarship. Furthermore, beneficiaries are free to enroll in any approved two- or four-year institution, online course, or technical or vocational school.
- Any member of the Chick-fil-A team may apply.
